Name: Luster Bastion
Age: 28
Class: Theif
Sex: Male
Hair: Brown, long
Face: broken nose, often unkept facial hair, brown eyes
Body: 6'4“, slim
Personality: Reserved, somewhat quiet on account of minor speech impediment he tries to hide
Birth: Bern
Origin:
Luster's family were part of an ill fated caravan that was stuck in the mountains while leaving Bern. Many of the caravan died, and only a few made it back down the mountain. He was born on the trip, but due to the harsh conditions his mother died like many others. Upon reaching Sacae the few survivors, Luster and his father among them, ran into a group of nomads that agreed to send them on their way along with some help. Before separating again however, Luster's father was able to convince one of the families to take his child as their own.
They raised him among them, as if he was their own. His adopted mother had lost her children before any had reached maturity and was caring of the child. His step-father tried his best to accept a foreigner, though he considered him useless with a bow and worse with a sword
He grew up knowing he was an outsider and often made it a point to fit with the others. When he was 14, mainly because of rage at his situation, he left the nomads with no plan of where he would go. His adopted mother tried to talk sense into him but he left during the night anyways. The group sent to find him quickly lost track
After escaping Luster spent a few weeks barely able to nourish himself in the wild. He avoided other tribes and hoped to find the way to the nations outside the Sacae. Finally failing to manage his survival, he was found nearly dead by Ostian soldiers marching trough the area. A captain took pity on the child that was obviously not Sacean and brought him with them, giving him up to his high commander when they arrived to Ostia.
An Ostian politician heard of Luster’s situation, and brought the child with him, offering him work as a servant in exchange for food and logging. Luster grew quickly learning the way of the noble house, and by the time he was 18 he was charged with delivering important messages for the man.
Sadly, his foster father died leaving Luster with no place to go. He was known around the Ostia courts and upon the man’s death was offered work as an infiltrator. Upon agreeing, he was sent to Caelin, and over the course of the next 10 years lived in disguise as a servant to various political figures there. In that time he was able to raise to work as a messenger directly for the Caelin treasury, a position that gave him access to a lot of useful information to send back to Ostia.
Upon hearing of the civil war Luster started having doubts of his position. He had grown unhappy with his work, though it was not something he could leave behind. Now that the fighting had finally broke out he knew it was decision time.
