Five hundred years ago, the Hero of Blue Flames and his many companions, along with the Goddess Yune, stopped the Goddess Ashera from completing the apocalypse and wiping out all life on Tellius. From that miraculous battle, an era of uninterrupted prosperity was born. While the world still had its pains and injustices, as it always would due to the nature of people, the world knew peace, and most of civilization began to flourish in said peace with Beorc and Laguz working hand in hand to restore their world and move forward as a people together.
Additionally, the once separated sub-continents of Tellius Major and Tellius Minor and its people were fully revealed to each other for the first time in over 1000 years, expanding the known world immensely. At first, the culture shock was astounding, as these two separate lands came to grips with the fact that they were not, as they had once assumed, alone. However, with time, despite the natural barriers between them, lines of communication were opened between Tellius Major and Minor, and knowledge and culture flowed over their borders like water once more.
But all good things must come to an end, or so the saying goes, and in recent years, strife has begun to rear its ugly head once again.
On Tellius Major, the Beorc nations of Crimea and Daein grow in strength, but while Crimea grows through its trade an alliances, Daein may be reverting to its old ways, isolating itself from the rest of Tellius, while slowly biding its power and growing its military. Meanwhile, corruption and political infighting runs rampant throughout the once all-powerful Empire of Begnion, and its citizens worry that its government may be on the verge of collapse. And while the Beorc sort out their problems, the Laguz have issues of their own. The united Bird Nation has seen uninterrupted prosperity since the defeat of Ashera, which has finally begun to cause tension with the neighboring nation of Gallia. King Gallia sees this currently peaceful growth as unsustainable, and fears the Bird Nation may become what Begnion used to be.
On Tellius Minor, pirates from the island nation of Faraj raid and pillage the borders and waters of whatever nation their ships can reach, and while King Hatari tries to settle the issue, his efforts are blocked by his long time ally in the country of Sanaa, whom he fears is funding the pirates while taking its share of the cuts. Meanwhile, the bears of Roak sit idly by, isolating themselves from the world as they always have.
Will the world be once again cloaked in the flames of war? Or will Beorc and Laguz once again find it within themselves to settle their differences in peace? Only time will tell.
