Description: Heldok is a bastard child of Hoster Foremont. His mother was one of the Lord's most elite bodyguards, until her pregnancy. She died in childbirth, and Heldok was raised as an orphan in castle Caelin with no knowledge of his father. He was watched however, and excelled in all forms of combat when he was placed in training. He was among the youngest soldiers to fight in Nabata, though unofficially. He was promoted twice in that time, to the rank of sergeant then ensign. He had a talent for leading men, as well as taking risks none of the lords wanted to force on their men and their own lives. He was one of the few young officers willing to fight in Caelin's campaign against Valor. While he was there, he was attacked by a tiger on a trek through the jungle. He was the first man from the mainland to ever kill one of the beasts and live to tell the tale. He was given the name 'The Tiger of Caelin' by his men. Though the campaign was a failure, he did secure the only true victory on the island, and was promoted to Lieutenant. When made captain, his lineage was revealed to him. He was one of the few bastard children of Hoster to reject the notion, claiming he was just a soldier. He was the only man in the army not of noble birth to be above the rank of Ensign, and that made him very proud. When he fought again in the war for the seat of Ostia, he was once again promoted, this time to Captain. When the war ended he met his father for the first time. He was given an honorary rank of Sergeant General, and would serve as his brother Gotere's personal bodyguard in times of war. Had the brothers not been aware of who the other was, Heldok would have refused. But, Gotere was a coward, and Heldok assumed he could take command again. For his service, he was made an official son of Hoster, but not allowed to consider himself a nobleman or Foremont.
